School readiness is important to ensure your child is confident and ready for the many challenges that their first year at school will bring!  At RCH ECIS, our program has been designed by therapists and educators with a child-centred and hands-on approach to learning new skills.  Children’s developmental needs are met within a safe and fun environment, with small group sizes to ensure that your child’s individual learning needs are met. Our program is based on our experience and knowledge in child development, and incorporates strategies and techniques from the ABC and Beyond™ (Hanen®), The Zones of Regulation®, Social Thinking® programs, Hartley Knows I Can Write.

'Before the Bell' group will focus on school readiness skills such as:

• Learning to be part of a group
  
• Turn-taking
• Engaging with peers
  
• Fine motor skills
• Independence skills
• Emotional regulation 
• Attention to task
• Following instructions/routine

The group format is typically one two-hour session per week for eight weeks.

Eligibility:

•  RCH ECIS will accept NDIS and private paying families. Please note we have no capacity for families to claim through Medicare or their private health insurance.
